At Tango our key mission is to deliver high quality, affordable products that our customers know have been manufactured in safe and secure working environments. That is why we only source from ethically compliant factories that meet full British and European standards. Our owned and partnered factories are SEDEX and/or BSCI approved undertaking regular independent audits. We work with our factories to educate and establish better health and safety practices and to create productive working environment.
Tango’s manufacturing base is spread across Europe and the Far East, we work closely with each factory to ensure the product we place with them is the most suitable for their capabilities and each individual country’s expertise.
We are not merely designers but also factory owners, this gives us a first-hand understanding of how factories run, making us more than just the middle man. We built our factory Yurteks SRL in the outskirts of Bucharest Romania in 1999. Yurteks is fully equipped with state of the art Japanese and Italian automatic knitting machines, covering 3gg – 12gg. This set-up is ideal for manufacturing short lead time orders with a monthly capacity of 80,000 pieces per month. Over the years we have built up a strong base of reliable yarn and trims suppliers from the U.K, France, Spain, Italy and Turkey.
During our 30 plus years’ operating as a supplier we have established very close relationships with factories in the Far East. We have partnerships and joint ventures with factories in Bangladesh, China, Turkey and Pakistan. From these sites we can offer our customers a monthly capacity of 600,000 pieces.
Each country has their own key strengths; Bangladesh is perfect for hand flat knitting, producing beautiful fully fashioned single jersey, tucks and cabled knitwear on 12gg to the chunky 1.5gg. Our factories are now also fully equipped with automatic machines producing intricate pointelles, fancy tuck stitches and creative jacquards and intarsias. China is home to some of he most high tech knitting machines and yarn mills, we source fashion yarns from here and produce high fashion, complex detail garments. Pakistan is a key source for our denims and jerseys, our factory’s are equipped with the latest machinery and strive to achieve the latest in washing, brushing and dyeing techniques that are currently flooding the fashion market. Finally Turkey offers another short lead time route, with fully automatic machines and a strong supply of beautiful yarns and components.
